World Islamic Banking Conference 2016

On December 5-7, 2016, the World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC) was held in Amwaj Islands, Kingdom of Bahrain. This year’s agenda focused on “Economic Uncertainties: Vigilance and Growth.”   Magni’s CEO Kurt Lieberman was invited to lead two panel discussions at the conference; one on the outlook for asset allocation, and another that explored the best asset classes for investment in the coming year.  Esteemed leaders from across the financial services industry worldwide were in attendance, with keynote speakers including the Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain and the Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.  Mr. Lieberman was a panelist at the 2015 conference as well, and several of Magni’s articles have appeared in conference organizer Middle East Global Advisors’ online magazine.

The WIBC has convened its annual conference for 23 years. Today, Islamic finance has more the $2 trillion in assets, and is generating significant growth opportunities for asset managers.  For a complete agenda and speaker bios, visit WIBC.com/#about.
