Minneapolis, MN, October 30, 2017 – Magni Global Asset Management LLC (Magni) announced that Kurt Lieberman, CEO, was invited to participate in this year’s Muslim American Society of Minnesota (MAS) Convention. Now in its 12th year, the 2017 theme is Together for a Better Tomorrow. It was held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Saturday, October 28th.
Mr. Lieberman introduced the featured speaker Bashar Qasem, President and CEO of Azzad Asset Management, whose topic was Applying Islamic Values to Your Investments. The session examined the practical implications of investing from an Islamic perspective. Topics included socially responsible investing, Shariah compliance, and diversification with halal investments.
Separately, a keynote forum at the convention, entitled Building a Better Minnesota, featured seven candidates that are running for Governor and addressed ways to overcome racism, discrimination and inequality.
